About

We stay in the room until it runs.

Pith is a hands-on sales and commercial consulting firm. Pith builds the systems, implements them, and stays until the team that needs to run them can.

Farai Musa

Farai Musa

Farai Musa built Pith after close to twenty years working inside owner-led businesses, watching what breaks, what holds, and what changes when a business stops running through one person.

He scaled a startup from zero to 20x revenue over eight years by building the sales motion, the systems, and the team capability that made growth repeatable. He has held the same position as the founders he works with, the single point of failure in his own sales motion, the person every difficult situation routed back to.

Farai builds the actual thing: the documented process, the CRM, the playbook, the capability in the team. He stays in the engagement until it works. When he goes, the team runs what was built.

Why structural only

Why structural only.

The engagements Pith takes are ones where the goal is to change how the business operates.

A tactical engagement improves a metric this quarter on a foundation that works the same way next quarter. Better lead numbers without a repeatable process behind them. A CRM configured without the qualification criteria to make it useful. A new website without a sales motion to send visitors through. Pith has turned down engagements where the scope was tactical and the underlying problem was structural. The number moves, the engagement ends, and six months later the operation works the same way it did before.

Every Pith engagement starts with one question: is the goal to change how the business operates, or to improve a specific metric? If the answer is the second, Pith says so and doesn't take the work.

Who we work with

Who we work with.

Pith works with founders who are ready to stop being the single point of failure in their own sales motion, the person the team relies on to close deals, retain accounts, and respond when something goes wrong. Typically: professional services businesses between 5 and 20 people. Advisors, consultants, and similar firms. The business is generating revenue and has a team in place. The team's ability to perform tracks the founder's availability.

Founders who are thinking about stepping back in the next five to ten years also start here. Selling, bringing in a general manager, or getting their time back, the structural work takes time, and starting early means more options later.

Common hesitations:

“I'm worried about disrupting what already works.”

Pith starts by mapping what's working and protecting it. The engagement begins where the gaps are.

“I don't know if the timing is right.”

“I'm not sure I need all of this.”
